Role description:
Due to consistent growth in our Environmental Planning and Management team Arcadis is looking for an Environment Consultant to work and deliver on a diverse range of infrastructure renewable energy and niche environmental projects in Queensland. This opportunity will see you collaborate with other teams in Queensland along with interstate teams in New South Wales Victoria and Western Australia.
Role accountabilities:
- Work on and deliver environmental approvals environmental compliance and planning permits for a wide variety of projects including transport infrastructure renewables energy and waste in Queensland and interstate;
- Work with our clients to ensure environmental management compliance in the delivery of projects;
- Manage projects including commercial aspects deliverables resourcing and timelines;
- Provide support and contribute to the development of junior team members;
- Work collaboratively in the preparation of proposals; and
- Identify opportunities for client development.
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost you are someone who values and enjoys working within a supportive people-focused culture. You are an energetic and proactive individual and come to us with:
- Relevant degree qualifications in either Environmental Science Planning or Engineering;
- Demonstrated relevant experience in environmental impact assessment and approvals;
- Experience working in environmental consulting Government Department engineering or construction firm will be highly regarded;
- Experience in infrastructure related environmental approvals is beneficial;
- Knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy
- Relevant post-graduate experience including supervising aspects of a project application of standards/guidelines and managing resources;
- Familiarity with infrastructure related development approvals (road rail energy waste water) will be highly regarded; and
- A reputation for delivering high-quality work and building excellent team morale and client relationships.
