Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in Critical Care and Neurology In this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care in critical care and neurology settings. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and delivering exceptional healthcare services. This position is vital to our organizations commitment to excellence in healthcare staffing and patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in critical care and neurology departments.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Assist in procedures and surgeries as needed.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) license.
  • Specialization or experience in Critical Care and Neurology.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Level I trauma

Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts

No call shifts

Setting: Neuro ICU

Daily Volume: 10 patients 5 consults

Patient Population: 100% adult 40% trauma

Lab and x-ray onsite

Support Staff: Neurointensivists on call APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
