About the Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hospital Nurse Coordinator to join the team at St Vincents Private Hospital Brisbane. We are seeking a suitably skilled Nurse Manager to join our Hospital Nurse Coordinator team on a permanent full-time basis.

This position will be key role ensuring the smooth operation and provision of our services including bed management patient flow management staffing and emergency response. Due to the level of responsibility this role requires a dynamic leader; an excellent communicator; and a calm and rational decision maker. It is a varied role which provides a high degree of autonomy. The Hospital Nurse Coordinator role also has shared line management responsibility for our Nursing Pool team.

Things that work for us:

• AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse

• Minimum of 5 years recent nursing experience in a hospital environment

• Previous management experience in a sub-acute hospital preferably as a Nurse Unit Manager Hospital Nurse Coordinator or similar

• A high level of organisation with the ability to prioritise and multitask in a complex environment

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to successfully guide and support the development of the workforce

• Ability to provide clinical practice and care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility

• Ability to plan and coordinate patient/resident/client care effectively maintain patient/resident/client advocacy and utilise patient/resident/client management systems

• Ability to participate in and support education activities and to contribute to the development of self and other team members
