Job Summary
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK:
1. Safeguards all activities of guests using the swimming pool
2. Instruct swimming skills in group and private settings to participants of all ages and abilities
3. Evaluate program participants according to Englewood Accelerated swimming standards
4. Adapt teaching approaches to the experience ability and culture of participants to meet program goals and objectives
5. Complete and submit program and participant progress reports as required
6. Communicate with parents and/or participants regarding participants progress and how they may be able to assist in the participants progress
7. Provide excellent customer service
8. Attend and participate in Swim Instructor training on a monthly basis
9. Keep a CPR/AED certification current
PREPARATION AND TRAINING:
A Current CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire is required.
WSI (Past or present) or other Nationally Recognized certification preferred.
Any combination of education and / or experience that has provided the knowledge skills and abilities necessary for excellent job performance will be considered. Training will be provided to applicants possessing a basic understanding of swimming skills through swim lessons or swim team experiences. You must enjoy working with children and adults of all ages. Excellent organization and communication skills.
