ABOUT THE ROLE:
To build operate and professionalise the Group Financial Reporting function through improved processes systems controls to deliver effective and timely statutory financial reporting and audit management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engagement with Group FP&A to ensure alignment between financial and management reporting adhering to IFRS and deliver a consistent single source of truth for all finance reporting.
Lead Group Financial Reporting elements of the Finance Transformation programme to establish and develop improved financial reporting processes systems accounting manual accounting policies the financial control framework including key controls to secure and extract relevant information to populate financial reports evidence effectiveness of controls and meet compliance obligations with all financing facilities.
Will be responsible for ensuring the 5/10 year financial model adheres to IFRS to support the business strategy across all A&K Travel Group brands (A&K C&K and Crystal) including P/L Balance Sheet and Cashflow by business unit function and in consolidated form. The role extends to a review responsibility to ensure complete and accurate IFRS preparation of pro forma and realised M&A transactions capital allocation and other potential exit events.
Develop and enhance financial reporting including control framework and key controls throughout the Group. Advise on control mechanisms in reporting processes to ensure integrity of inputs and outputs.
Drive seamless co-operation and alignment across the Global Finance Function through open communication clear instruction and collaboration with Finance colleagues including Group FP&A Commercial Finance Tax Treasury and Finance Transformation.
Support VP Group Financial Controller to build a high performing Group GFR function with relevant capabilities to rapidly analyse and comment on both actual and forecast information and capital allocation.
ABOUT YOU:
10 years experience in a Group GFR roles
Graduate
Accounting qualification (ACA)
Big 4 trained
Understanding of the luxury sector and/or luxury travel sector preferred
Demonstrated abilities:
Strong IFRS technical knowledge
Group consolidation experience
Rapid data assessment and analysis
Strong communication (brief precise and succinct)
Strong influencing skills
Very collaborative
Self-starter comfortable working with ambiguity through creation and development of processes systems controls and deliverables
Strong excel Power BI and PowerPoint skills
