Chief Financial Officer

After a recent organisation restructure and realignment the Anglican Diocesan Services (ADS) is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to oversee the provision of a range of services to ADS and the agencies it serves.

About Anglican Diocesan Services Overview
Anglican Diocesan Services (ADS) is the principal provider of corporate services to the ministry units and agencies of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra-Goulburn and acts the employing entity for the unincorporated associations of the Diocese.

ADS provides comprehensive services in the areas of human resources finance IT property management and risk and compliance with the following objectives:

• Provide for missional alignment across the Diocese
• Provide Diocesan-wide consistency and standardisation within the areas of ADS while acknowledging the uniqueness and complexity of individual agencies and the services they provide to the community
• Enable a process of continuous improvement in the provision of service standards ensuring efficiencies across the agencies are maximised leading to reductions in overall infrastructure costs

About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team of Anglican Diocesan Services (ADS) responsible for the strategic and operational financial management of the Diocese and in particular Diocesan entities provided with shared financial services through ADS.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Lead a corporate finance function across a diverse portfolio of entities
• Provide strategic advice to Boards and Executive Leaders
• Develop a coordinated view of capital requirements across the Diocese appropriate corresponding forecasts and plans for allocation in collaboration with the Anglican Investment and Development Fund
• Develop & provide an innovative suite of supporting systems and processes to support the Diocese in the work detailed above
• Ensure that all work meets regulatory standards promotes transparency sustainability and continuous improvement
• Lead through Christian witness and build a team committed to our purpose vision mission and values
