Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and suppliers.
- Respond to both external and internal client inquiries.
- Coordinate and oversee daily trucking operations ensuring timely and efficient freight movement.
- Support airfreight operations including documentation bookings and airline coordination.
- Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding dispatch routing pricing and rates.
- Prepare documentation for Truck shipments and customs clearance processes.
- Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery providing proactive updates to clients.
- Seek the most profitable mode of shipment while meeting client requirements.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and maximize profitability.
- Handle exceptions and resolve issues related to delays or service failures.
- Maintain accurate records and support invoicing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Talking hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Job may require extended sitting or standing use of standard office equipment.
- Job will require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Minimum 3 years of experience in trucking operations.
- Some experience in airfreight logistics (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of transportation documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Career-oriented detail-focused and quick learner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Three to five years of related experience.
- At least two year of industry-specific experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
