Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of HR operations including recruitment employee relations benefits administration compliance and staff development. This is a strategic leadership role focused on fostering a positive workplace culture and driving employee engagement while supporting company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workforce planning recruitment onboarding and succession planning.
- Oversee performance management employee development and engagement initiatives.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive and cost-effective.
- Guide to leadership and employees on HR policies and workplace issues.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation policies and records.
- Partner with leadership to resolve staffing challenges and employee relations issues.
Qualifications Required:
- 8 years of HR experience including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or related field.
- Strong leadership communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities.
- Based in Burlington WA with occasional travel required.
- Perform other related duties as required
Preferred Skills Competencies Education and Experience
Experience working within a union organization
HR Certification - SHRM-CP PHR
Experience with Department of Transportation regulations and drug testing programs.
HRIS experience.
Work Environment:
This role often operates in an office environment. At times occasional travel may be required to other branches or to a construction site. Good communication via phone email and in-person interactions is a key component of this role.
