About the Role
Contributing to a safe environment for patients staff and Visiting Medical Practitioners your role will involve: but is not limited to;
- Transport of patients throughout hospital network and to other medical facilities within the metro area.
- Assess patient for appropriate method of transfer either by wheelchair or stretcher.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of patient flow within the hospital.
- Maintains patient and materials manual handling competency.
- Checks and replaces gas and oxygen cylinders as needed in transport vehicle.
- Removes rubbish and soiled linen.
- Cleans transport vehicle and equipment and completes all vehicle checks as required.
- Carries out other duties as directed by theManager.
- Class C drivers licence
About You
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with a client-first attitude and a strong desire to support our staff and patients in achieving the best possible outcomes.
You will also bring:
- Certificate III in Health Services /Aged Care or equivalent desirable
- Knowledge in the following areas of Manual HandlingOccupational Safety and Health practicesInfection Control and Housekeeping Protocolsand Usage of cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform a physically demanding role.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively following directions.
Remuneration: Base Hourly Rates in accordance with Enterprise Agreement superannuation based on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances.
