Columbus Technical College is looking for an individual to fill the position of Coordinator American Heath Association Training Center. The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination development monitoring and completion of project initiatives associated with the assigned area. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the American Heart Association and the institution ensuring compliance with guidelines maintaining certification standards and facilitating the delivery high-quality training programs such as BLS ACLS and PALS.This is a part time position.
This position may requireteaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County Stewart County Quitman County Chattahoochee County Harris County and Talbot County)
MAJOR DUTIES
Oversees the administration compliance and delivery of American Heart Association (AHA) training programs including Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Schedules and coordinates BLS ACLS PALS and Heartsaver courses
Teaches courses and conducts skills checks as needed
Oversees course registration rosters and certification issuance
Manages day-to-day operations of the AHA Training Center
Ensures the center operates in alignment with AHA standards
Ensures compliance with AHA Program Administration Manual
Maintains Training center status and certification records
Align and support AHA instructors and affiliated Training Sites
Serves as the primary liaison between instructors training sites and the AHA
Serves as a resource for instructors and students regarding AHA standards
Monitors course delivery and instructor performance
Implements feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement strategies
Conducts biannual site reviews and instructor evaluations
Provides timely updates on AHA policies and procedures
Maintains accurate records databases and inventory of AHA materials
Submits required reports databases and inventory of AHA materials
Proficiency in database management and scheduling software (e.g. Modern Campus)
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in accurate recordkeeping
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current AHA Instructor certification in BLS (ACLS and PALS preferred)
Minimum of five years experience coordinating training programs or educational services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with online platforms such as Modern Campus
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard
Familiarity with workforce development or technical college environments
Experience in healthcare or emergency response training
Salary/Benefits:Pay is commensurate with experience. No benefits.
