As a Software Engineering Group Manager within PNCs Business Technology organization you will be based in Pittsburgh PA Strongsville OH Birmingham AL or Dallas TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location.

As a Software Engineering Group Manager in Workforce Technology you are a major part of promoting this culture. The team being managed may be hybrid and you must be comfortable interacting with employees business partners and software vendors who may be in person or remote including offshore - while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and communication.

To excel as a Software Engineering Group Manager at PNC you will need a fundamental understanding of software delivery and support in an Agile environment principles of IT Service Management and a proactive mindset to identify and cure problems before they become more impactful. You must also serve as a career mentor helping to educate and motivate your team to ensure consistent performance and growth while identifying training opportunities and skills gaps.

Job Description

• Manages multiple development projects development groups and/or application support functions for a major business segment.
• Oversees the development and implementation of multiple complex organization-wide systems .
• Allocates and ensures resource arrangements during the application development life cycle .
• Maintains relationships with clients to ensure the implementation quality of application systems .
• Provides solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation .

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree PhD or certifications is desirable. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is lieu of a degree a comparable combination of education job specific certification(s) and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Base Salary: $100000.00 $211600.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location market data and on individual skills experience and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company business and/or individual performance.
