Job Summary
The Graduate Education Department Coordinator reporting to the Dean of Graduate Education manages thesis review events communications awards and office functions. The position supports students faculty and program coordinators while maintaining effective working relationships across the campus community. Success in this role requires professionalism independent judgment strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency with technology.

The mission of Graduate Education is to provide career-focused accessible education through Learn by Doing and faculty collaboration positioning students for impactful professions and meaningful community contributions. We strive to be recognized for developing inclusive leaders who drive innovation shape industries and rise to societys greatest challenges. The Graduate Education Office provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management services to support and administer more than 30 graduate programs across the Cal Poly campus.
Key Qualifications
providing training and support approving final versions and uploading to the University archive.
Advise and support current and prospective students faculty and staff on graduate education
requirements policies and best practices.
Plan and manage graduate education events for students faculty and program coordinators to
advance professional development and foster community.
Recruit train and supervise student assistants including instruction on thesis submission
procedures and performance oversight.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $50962 - $66534 Per Year
Classification Range: $$48696 - $$79836 Per Year
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
