ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) were chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project the largest project in Metrolinxs GO Expansion.
Unprecedented in its scale and complexity this multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification more frequent service shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Whats the Opportunity
ONxpress Civils Contractor (CJV) is looking for a Commercial Coordinator to join our team. This role is integral to the success of our projects providing essential support in contract management documentation and coordination across various departments. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering or a related field with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Excel for advanced data management including VLOOKUP macros and pivot tables.
Review and manage payment implications and applications.
Organize and maintain project documentation ensuring all contracts are compiled in order.
Review and assign correspondence ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
Act as the frontend user of Aconex managing commercial communications and documentation.
Ensure commercial requirements are met and all necessary stakeholders are ccd in communications.
Draft formal letters and other correspondence as needed.
Coordinate tasks and responsibilities ensuring smooth project operations.
Attend and contribute to kick-off meetings with the construction and technical teams.
Receive and manage claims from subcontractors compiling and reviewing claims reports.
Assist in contract administration ensuring compliance with organizational standards and workflows.
Understand and follow organizational setups and protocols.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with the Construction Lien Act.
Education in Civil Engineering construction discipline or related field preferred.
Experience with bridge or rail projects is a plus.
Proven ability to coordinate with project coordinators finance cost control technical procurement design and investigation teams.
Understanding of CCDC contracts and related documentation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP macros and pivot tables.
Experience with Aconex or similar project management software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage payment applications and implications effectively.
Competence in drafting professional correspondence and formal communications.
Excellent coordination and follow-up skills.
Familiarity with health and safety protocols and trainings.
