Job Summary
Were looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team during a critical period as we head into budgets and year-end on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a hands-on role where youll make an immediate impact by keeping our projects invoicing accurate management accounts on track and audit prep running smoothly.

What Youll Be Doing
- Own Project Departments invoicing Raise and review invoices track project sales and costs and keep control spreadsheets up to date.
- Support management accounts Assist with project and training accounts ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Streamline processes Help establish smarter ways of working to support the Project team.
- Handle Training departments invoicing & credit control Keep training revenue flowing and accounts reconciled.
- Purchase ledger support Perform supplier statement reconciliations and assist with postings alongside our apprentice.
- Budget preparation Set up files collate cost information and support the Finance Director during budget season.
- Year-end & audit prep Help prepare schedules reconcile accounts and respond to auditor queries.
- Provide cover Step in during leave periods to update cash flow post cash and assist with credit control.
About You
What Were Looking For
Essential:
- Proven WIP experience and understanding of project accounting in a construction environment.
- Hands-on Sage 50 experience.
- Strong Excel skills (pivots lookups linked workbooks).
Desirable:
- Familiarity with SAP Concur or other purchase order systems.
- AAT qualification (or equivalent experience).
Personal Attributes:
- Organised proactive and able to hit the ground running.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.
