Job Summary

As one of the most celebrated openings of 2024 be part of the legacy as a Jr. Sous Chef In-Room Dining! Join us in creating a legacy within a brand where you can stay inspired with a team that will become family. The newest Conrad Hotel in Hiltons luxury portfolio is now open in Orlando.

The stunning resort will feature 433 rooms (to include 51 impeccably designed suites and 10 spacious family suites) 65000 square feet of meeting space (40000 indoor and 25000 outdoor) a tranquil spa two 18-hole golf courses and 6 food and beverage outlets. This includes 3 restaurants (rooftop southern Italian and poolside) a cocktail bar marketplace and in-room dining.

In this role you will oversee a team of 6 report to the Executive Chef and handle IRD operations.

The ideal candidate will have some proven culinary leadership experience good tenure and have a background in reputable restaurants/hotels.

Classification:Full-Time

Shift: Various must be available to weekdays weekends and holidays.

Pay Rate:The annual salary for this role is $62000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing

As Jr. Sous Chef you would be responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically a Sous Chef would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations to include but not limited to preparation and production of all hotel meals food quality and presentation compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulation team member productivity and performance implementation of policies and procedures cost controls and overall profitability
  • Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal state local and company health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include but not limited to providing supervision conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations training scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward
