Click here to learn more about LPB: Production Department is seeking aTV Multimedia Director/Editor who can handle both production and post-production creating content for broadcast and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a versatile storyteller with skills in producing videography editing graphics and animation plus hands-on camera lighting and audio experience. Knowledge of broadcast/digital specs and live production is a strong asset.

Minimum Qualifications

Six years of production experience in television radio or multimedia; OR

A bachelors degree in film studies broadcasting digital media cinematography or communications plus three years of production experience in television radio or multimedia.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and collaborative storyteller with strong technical skills and a passion for productionparticularly editing and post-production. They can manage projects independently work under tight deadlines and adapt to direction from multiple departments. Comfortable both leading and supporting they build strong relationships across teams while delivering high-quality content.

  • Production Responsibilities

    • Plan direct and produce broadcast and digital projects including documentaries series promos and live shows.
    • Operate professional video cameras lighting and audio equipment during field and studio shoots.
    • Collaborate with producers writers and on-air talent to shape creative direction and storytelling approach.
    • Ensure technical and aesthetic quality during live productions and pre-recorded shoots.
  • Post-Production Responsibilities

    • Edit short-form and long-form content using Adobe Premiere Pro and other industry-standard tools.
    • Design and integrate motion graphics and animation into projects.
    • Color-correct mix audio and finalize projects for delivery.
    • Manage media assets and maintain organized project files.
  • Cross-Platform Storytelling

    • Adapt content for multiple platforms (broadcast web and social media).
    • Create promotional spots trailers and marketing content tailored to target audiences.
    • Ensure all deliverables meet technical specs for both broadcast and digital distribution.
  • Technical & Quality Control

    • Monitor and enforce technical standards for video audio and graphics across projects.
    • Troubleshoot production and post-production equipment and software issues as needed.
    • Stay current with emerging trends tools and delivery requirements for both traditional and digital platforms.

Appointment Type: Classified

Salary Information: The listed pay rate is the minimum compensation that may be offered. The job title and salary will be set based on the candidates qualifications and experience in the Compensation Section.

Location:Baton Rouge Louisiana

Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday; however varying work schedules are offered.
