Job Summary
The Psychological Examiner is responsible for conducting psychological assessments evaluating mental health conditions and assisting in the development of treatment plans within a department. This role involves working with diverse populations including individuals in mental health facilities correctional institutions rehabilitation programs and social service settings.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments for individuals receiving state score and interpret standardized psychological cognitive and behavioral mental emotional and behavioral health conditions using evidence-based detailed psychological reports with findings and recommendations for treatment or with clinicians social workers and medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment recommendations for therapeutic interventions educational accommodations and rehabilitative in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client in monitoring and modifying treatment plans based on assessment suicide risk assessments behavioral evaluations and crisis intervention accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools diagnostic criteria and behavioral in administering and interpreting cognitive personality and emotional to analyze complex psychological data and produce clear actionable of trauma-informed care neurodevelopmental disorders and mental health and concise reporting of findings to medical legal and social service to assess and recommend interventions based on psychological accuracy in assessments diagnoses and reports.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a Masters Degree in Psychology Clinical Psychology or a related field; plus one year of experience in psychological assessments counseling or mental health services.
Licensure/Certifications
Must be licensed as a Psychological Examiner or Licensed Psychological Practitioner in the State of JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
