Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a Medical Assistant Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at ProHealth Cares Brookfield Clinic. This part-time role will support a busy family practice provider on Tuesdays and Fridays and will cover various providers in clinic as needed on Thursdays providing variety and an excellent opportunity to develop diverse clinical skills.

Schedule:

Monday - OFF
Tuesday 7:30AM-7:30PM
Wednesday -OFF
Thursday - 8:00 - 4:30PM
Friday - 7:30AM-4:30PM

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with patient care
Perform clinical tasks such as taking vitals administering medications and preparing patients for exams
Support providers with patient assessments and minor procedures
Manage patient records using the Epic EMR system
Respond to patient inquiries and follow up on care plans
Ensure a clean organized and efficient work environment

Requirements:

Medical Assistant LPN or EMT
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
Proficiency in Epic or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred

What You Will Do:

Provides direct care to patients under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant or Physician within ProHealth Medical Group. Provides care in partnership with the patient and their family with the goal of supporting an optimal healing community.

Support ProHealth Cares Mission Vision and Values while adhering to the ProHealth Experience customer service goals.
Efficiently prepare exam rooms by setting up proper equipment and supplies following standard rooming workflows to prepare patients for provider exams obtaining vital signs health history verification and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR
Clean exam rooms after each patient visit and maintain sufficient stock of supplies.
Answer patient calls obtain medical information report test results administer medications and vaccinations prepare sterile fields and assist with procedures as directed by providers.
Perform therapeutic treatments health screenings specimen collection Point of Care testing and assist with splints or wound care under supervision.
Respond to urgent situations call for clinical assistance as needed and assist in maintaining clinic medications vaccinations supplies and equipment.
Float to other departments or clinic locations as assigned by PHMG Leadership.

What you will Need:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Completion of Medical Assistant EMT LPN or other equivalent clinical training program
AHA BLS or ability to obtain upon hire
1 Year of experience New graduates will be considered
