Description
The Center on Aging and Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated team in Erwin. This full-time on-site position offers an exceptional opportunity for entry-level professionals to play a vital role in delivering quality care to our residents including veterans and their families.
As an LPN at our facility you will be integral in providing compassionate healthcare services in a supportive environment. Located conveniently approximately 20 minutes from Johnson City Tennessee and 40 minutes from Asheville North Carolina we pride ourselves on fostering a familial atmosphere where every staff member is valued. We offer a competitive salary range of $25.50 - $34.60 hourly along with comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document residents health status and vital signs
- Assist in daily living activities to ensure residents comfort and well-being
- Communicate effectively with residents families and healthcare team members
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident assessments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standards
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of Tennessee
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Willingness to learn and grow within the healthcare field
