Job Summary
A Parts Driverdelivers auto or machine parts between locations ensuring timely accurate and safe delivery to customers repair shops and suppliers.Key responsibilities include picking and packing parts loading vehicles driving safely maintaining delivery logs handling cash performing basic vehicle maintenance and providing excellent customer service.The role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in the automotive and mechanical industries.
- Order Fulfillment:Picking the correct parts to fill orders and packing them for delivery.
- Logistics:Loading parts into a company vehicle planning efficient delivery routes and ensuring timely deliveries to various locations.
- Customer Service:Acting as a representative of the company providing courteous service to customers and maintaining positive customer relations.
- Documentation:Maintaining accurate daily delivery logs obtaining delivery confirmations and signatures and handling cash and invoices.
- Vehicle Maintenance:Performing basic maintenance and checks on the delivery vehicle keeping it clean and safe and reporting any issues to management.
- Inventory Control:Assisting with inventory management by accurately checking in parts putting them in their correct locations and participating in cycle counts.
- Safety & Compliance:Adhering to all safety rules and driving regulations ensuring parts are transported without damage and maintaining a professional appearance.
- A valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good sense of direction and knowledge of local routes.
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of parts some of which can be heavy.
