Job Description

This position will primarily be virtual and may involve some days working in-person at the Magnuson campus of Seattle Childrens Hospital in North Seattle. It is a 0.6 FTE position (24 hours per week) with benefits.

This position is not intended for peer support relating to substance use recovery. We are seeking out those with experience as a parent partner supporting parents/caregivers and helping them navigate the mental health system for their children. Examples may include WISE CPS School for IEPs legal services and medical systems.

A Parent Partner II manages a moderate caseload empowering families caring for children with complex behavioral mental health medical and other challenges by providing individualized strength-based support education coaching information and resource referrals in collaboration with patients families and clinical care team members.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one year of experience as a parent partner peer support OR at least 1 year of paid experience as a parent partner or peer support in a medical or behavioral health care setting.
Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
Interest in continuing to learn and explore how health equity diversity and inclusion impacts the work at Seattle Childrens.


Required Credentials
Certified peer support specialist with Washington State

Preferred
Experience as a parent partner at Seattle Childrens.

Compensation Range

$29.16 - $43.73 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
