We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Data Center Contractor to support enterprise data center build and upgrade projects at our Oakland facility. This role is structured as an independent contractor engagement and is ideal for a self-directed professional with experience in mission-critical environments. The contractor will exercise independent judgment in performing assigned tasks while coordinating deliverables with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform cabinet rack and hardware installations including grounding and bonding using contractor-owned tools
- Build and manage cable infrastructure: ironwork cable trays ladder racks fiber ducts and structured cabling
- Install dress lace label and route fiber Ethernet coax alarm and low-voltage cabling to enterprise standards
- Add remove and modify non-powered and passive equipment as specified in the scope of work
- Perform cable continuity testing and support basic DC power tasks
- Maintain clean secure and compliant work areas in live data center environments
- Coordinate progress timelines and deliverables with project managers and customer representatives
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience performing data center installation work as an independent contractor
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical aptitude
- Working knowledge of structured cabling systems racks and grounding practices
- Proficiency in cable dressing lacing labeling and testing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise colocation or regulated data center environments
- Familiarity with ANSI/TIA standards NEC requirements and data center best practices
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform bending kneeling standing and climbing tasks
- Comfortable working on ladders and elevated pathways
- Flexibility to perform work during nights or weekends as required by project scope
