FELLOW ENGINEER - LEAD TEST ENGINEER 1444 Aiken SC

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields and use other technical resources within the company to resolve complex problems. Incorporate advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning. Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area(s) of technical expertise. Develop solutions to complex technical problems in fields of expertise. Keep informed on technical needs within the company and technical trends in area of expertise in the external world. Be aware of capabilities of the work group and needs of its customers. Identify technical programs which can be carried out with little guidance and take the initiative to accomplish them. Lead task teams for developing solutions to more complex problems. Prepare plans including schedules budgets and personnel requirements for solving major technical tasks identified by management. Develop schedules monitor progress monitor expenditures of budget and review quality of work performed. Include research development testing quality assurance requirements. Communicate the results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers colleagues managers and oversight groups. Prepare reports for external publication.

WORK HOURS: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week) 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week) and 9/80s (9 hours/day five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education:
An advanced degree and experience a Ph.D. degree and about 10 years experience. OR A MS degree and 12 years experience. OR A BS degree and approximately 15 years experience.

Experience:
Personnel shall have technical knowledge of Commissioning/Startup Testing including experience working in the following technical areas/labor categories: Conduct of Startup Testing Design reviews Procedure development and Test Execution.
Demonstrated previous experience with the use and implementation of Manual 5E Startup Test Program and related directives and standards or an equivalent Commissioning/Startup program.
Demonstrated previous experience in developing reviewing approval and presenting Technical Work Documents/Commissioning Test Procedures.
Demonstrated personal accountability for facility/project schedules deadlines budgets and the safe performance of work.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
Demonstrated a minimum of 1 year or more of recent testing experience through support of the Department of Energy (DOE) or the commercial nuclear industry.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance. An
active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award the selected
candidate will be notified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred.
