Pant Presser & Dry Cleaner Full-Time

Best Cleaners is seeking an enthusiastic Dry Cleaner-Pants Presser to join our close-knit organization. We provide a variety of exceptional garment-based services including dry cleaning and tailoring. Dry Cleaner-Pants Pressers play an important part in giving our customers the excellent service that makes us successful. DRY CLEANER/PANTS PRESSER: Produce clean and spot-free garments. Press pants and sweaters with wrinkle and impression free results. Process garments in accordance with Best Cleaners standards of safety quality and speed.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use assigned equipment to dry-clean garments; reject items not ready for pressing.
• Identify spots and stains; perform proper spotting techniques as needed.
• Search all pockets. Never rely on others to search customer pockets.
• Sort garments; load machine for lint-free garments.
• Hang cleaned garments; avoid basket wrinkles.
• Between loads use assigned equipment to press pants and sweaters.
• Hang finished garments inspect quality of work and touch-up as necessary.
• Mark-in garments as needed.
• Any additional tasks assigned by Store Manager or staff members.

MAINTENANCE

• Maintain the dry-cleaning system according to schedule. (Lint traps still water separator etc.)
• Maintain proper solvent levels; Keep daily and weekly poundage records.
• Spin and pre-coat according to schedule.
• Observe padding for wear and tear and replace as necessary.
• Report malfunctioning machinery to the Manager.

• Dry-cleaning certification - not required but we can train you!
• Knowledge of spotting techniques.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of flow of garments as it pertains to production standards.
• Flexibility to increase/reduce hours during busy/slow periods.
• This job may entail hot indoor air temperatures noisy conditions standing for long periods of time and lifting garments and products up to 30lbs.
