Job Posting Job Title:Cybersecurity Generalist Department:Information Technology Reports to:Director of Information Technology Purpose of the Position: The Cybersecurity Generalist supports the protection of sensitive systems data and infrastructure within a manufacturing environment serving Department of Defense contracts. This role ensures compliance with federal cybersecurity standards assists in securing both IT and operational technology (OT) assets and contributes to the organizations overall cyber resilience. The position is designed for a hands-on professional with foundational cybersecurity knowledge tasked with implementing security controls supporting audits and helping maintain a secure posture across production and enterprise systems. Experience Required: - 13 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity support roles
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems basic networking and endpoint security tools
- Understanding of NIST SP 800171 and CMMC Level 2 (training or exposure acceptable)
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical teams
Preferred Qualifications: - CompTIA Security or equivalent certification
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Exposure to ICS/OT systems or SCADA security
- Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g. PowerShell Python)
Description of Job Duties: - Monitor and report on cybersecurity events across IT and OT systems
- Assist with implementing security controls based on NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2
- Support vulnerability scanning and patch management across endpoints and servers
- Help maintain firewalls antivirus and endpoint protection tools
- Collaborate with IT and production teams to ensure secure system configurations
- Stay informed about common threats and best practices in industrial cybersecurity
- Assist with incident response forensic investigations and reporting to government stakeholders
- Maintain documentation and evidence for audits assessments and compliance reviews
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training tailored to manufacturing and DoD compliance needs
