Psychology Teacher - Battersea Wandsworth
Were currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Battersea within the borough of Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students with a love for the human mind and behaviour. The school has a thriving Psychology department and an excellent record of student achievement at both GCSE and A-Level.
The Role
The school is looking for a qualified Psychology Teacher with proven experience teaching the subject at both GCSE and A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at making complex theories and research methods accessible and engaging for all students. You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality thought-provoking lessons that cover a wide range of psychological topics and approaches.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that challenges students to think critically about human behaviour.
- Guiding students through research methods data analysis and essay writing skills.
- Providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential in examinations and coursework.
- Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve the departments resources and teaching strategies.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this rewarding position you should have:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at the secondary school level with a strong focus on A-Level.
- A comprehensive understanding of the major psychological theories studies and debates.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale) commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
