The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled practitioner with a strong degree in Art and Design or a related Fine Art discipline holding QTS and possessing proven experience teaching boys effectively at the secondary level.
In this full-time role with a targeted January start you will:
- Instruction & Attainment: Deliver inspirational and rigorous lessons in Art and Design (covering areas like painting drawing sculpture and digital media) across Key Stage 3 (KS3) GCSE (KS4) and A-Level (KS5).
- Engagement & Pedagogy: Employ engaging and differentiated teaching strategies particularly suited to motivating boys translating technical skills into creative confidence.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute actively to the refinement of a challenging curriculum that encourages conceptual thinking and technical mastery across diverse media.
- Exhibition & Enrichment: Oversee and manage student entries for exhibitions competitions and internal displays running an active co-curricular club (e.g. photography printmaking).
- Timeliness: Be available and prepared to commence this permanent role in January.
