JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Manassas VA
PAY RATE: $55/hour

Summary:

Create and maintain engineering masters and operations work orders via ERP system (SAP)
Interface with internal and external design engineering teams
Identify and prevent process bottlenecks; improve manufacturing engineering processes
Follow company procedures and project execution processes incorporating lean manufacturing principles
Develop part inspection checklists first article inspections manufacturing planning documents inspection sheets and technical support for the production floor
Prepare requests for change purchase proposals bid packages basis of estimates and quotes to support business proposals
Interpret drawings and technical specifications for production and supplier/vendor support

Requirements:

BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical Manufacturing Aerospace or Electrical preferred) from an accredited university
2 years of experience in aircraft mechanical/electrical systems manufacturing assembly or integration
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
Experience with assembly sequencing and producibility using CAD software (SolidWorks or CATIA V5 preferred)
Experience with ERP/MRP planning systems and bill of materials for process planning
Knowledge of financial and scheduling metrics to support program execution
Experience with fabrication of metals especially aluminum
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

Supporting fabrication of avionics harnessing
Supporting airframe modification or aircraft assembly
Strong written communication and data presentation skills
Ability to develop production processes standards and quality control from design
