Role: Application Support Analyst (Level 2)
Location: NY or Pittsburgh PA(Onsite)
Visa : H4 EAD L2EAD H1B
Relocation fine for Recent Entries only

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Production Services Application Support Analyst to provide Level 2 support for our Middle Office platform and applications. The role involves ensuring system availability reliability and performance along with driving process improvements and resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall availability reliability and defect prevention for supported applications.
  • Respond to diagnose and resolve service disruptions.
  • Identify define and implement required monitoring and automation solutions.
  • Work closely with developers on continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for complex production issues.
  • Review and evaluate project plans and objectives to ensure alignment with system needs.
  • Monitor changes to applications and their operating environment.
  • Create and maintain support documentation and procedures.
  • Handle time-sensitive issues in support of critical service level commitments.
  • Contribute to the achievement of area objectives.
  • Provide responsive liaison support to address escalations redlines and process improvements.
  • Should be willing to work weekends as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related discipline (advanced degree beneficial) OR equivalent work experience.
  • 10 12 years of diverse IT experience across multiple domains.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience supporting Middle Office Trade processing and trade flow.
  • Ability to reconcile and validate trade capture and day trading activity in a timely accurate manner.
  • Experience coordinating with front office and global support teams to resolve trade-related issues.

Technical Skills

  • Experience in DevOps CI/CD pipeline creation and execution.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills.
  • Experience with IBM MQ / Rabbit MQ middleware queues.
  • Experience with Ruby and Java frameworks/applications.
  • Experience with Postgres databases and ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as:
    • Splunk
    • AppDynamics
    • Prometheus
    • Grafana
    • Moogsoft (or similar solutions)
  • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management processes.

Other Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to escalate and resolve alerts.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle service requests incidents change management and problem tickets.
  • Experience with analytics and data-driven approaches to support applications throughout the Trade Lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
