Cloud Engineer 2

MW Partners is currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to work for our client who is a global leader in multimedia and creativity software products.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Work with multiple teams to design deploy and support large scale containerized workload platforms in multiple global private cloud datacenters and public cloud providers and regions
• Deliver highly secure and efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance regulations including SOC2 ISO27001 HIPAA PCI etc.
• Integrate diverse technologies in multiple environments to provide monitoring alerting and reporting of performance and costs
• Support software development teams with onboarding and using container-based solutions at scale
• Work in an agile operations framework balancing sprint-based work with daily operational needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve system outages or performance impact and communicate findings for ongoing improvement
• Participate in an on-call rotation to handle escalated issues
• Work with third-party vendors to recommend solutions and drive performance and cost efficiency

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2 plus years of experience managing environments inside of the Public Cloud Azure and AWS preferred
• 3 plus years of experience with Linux including large scale OS deployment and automation

• 3 plus years software engineering experience including multiple development languages. Python Go preferred
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations including deployment strategies upgrades cluster security troubleshooting and cloud-native networking storage solutions and observability tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK etc.).
• Familiarity with software version control systems and release management preferably Git.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices for continuous deployment and infrastructure management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements relevant to cloud-native infrastructure.
• Exposure to basic AI technologies and frameworks such as using AI-based monitoring tools or integrating machine learning models for predictive analytics within the infrastructure stack.
• Experience with both public and private cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP VMWare) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Analytical problem-solving skills adaptability and a continuous learning mindset to keep pace with evolving cloud and AI technologies.
• Passionate about designing and supporting complex IT systems while managing day-to-day infrastructure operations.
• Eager to learn receptive to guidance and able to recognize opportunities for further growth.
• Ability to work hard within a small customer-focused team and collaborate across cross-functional groups of developers and operations.
• Effective time management ensuring commitments are communicated and met.
• Proven ability to turn design compliance and support references/content into documentation presentations and training materials.
