Job Description
TheHotel Arts Groupis currently seeking a full time cookin our restaurant TheOxbow.
At theOxbow we want you to indulge in the art of good food. We choose to play with our menu bending traditional cuisine letting you appreciate dining as it was meant to be honestly uncomplicated. So stay for a little stay for a while. Our in-hotel setting insideHotel Arts Kensingtoninspires delightfully unexpected experiences shared in both new and familiar need dynamic hospitality professionals looking to further explore their passion for food and beverage.
We are looking for someone who will consistently provide quality and production daily in an organized and effective manner.
The successful applicant will possess the following traits:
- High level of interest with food and have a keen interest in the culinary arts
- Ability to maintain food quality and presentation standards within a consistency based framework
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Displays attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively
- Has flexibility towards their environment
- Will ensure all menu items are prepared efficiently to standard and to customer requirements
- Will ensure allmisen place is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Will ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all food product
- Will ensure all appropriate provincial health regulations and food handling techniques
- Is mindful of maintain a clean and organized work area
- Is aware of food cost portion and waste controls
Job Requirements:
- Visible and demonstrated passion for the food and beverage culinary and hospitality industry.
- Charm and charisma! With a helpful positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and grow with us.
- Full availability and a flexible schedule for a mixture of both AM and PM shifts including breakfast is helpful
- 2-3years experience in a similar position
- A Journeyman or working toward Red Seal certification
- Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to multi-task and handle competing priorities and a fast paced environment
- Requires standing/walking throughout shift
