Technical Manager

Job Description

As a Technical Product Manager you will play a pivotal role in our IGT-S R&D China team by facilitating and coaching one to two agile teams in adopting and excelling in Agile practices. You will be responsible for driving qualitative daily management ensuring effective escalation and impediment resolution within the SAFe framework and fostering a high-performing self-organizing team environment.
Your role:

  • Deploy and Embed Agile Standards: Implement and integrate the Hybrid Model standards from an Agile team perspective ensuring seamless adoption and adherence by the team.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Issue Resolution: Actively share knowledge within the agile team and resolve issues directly to maintain smooth workflow and team efficiency.
  • Process Authority: Serve as the lean/agile process authority for a Scrum team and its direct stakeholders ensuring alignment with Agile principles and practices.
  • Empowerment and Support: Safeguard the teams empowerment as a self-organizing unit providing coaching influencing problem-solving and impediment removal to support the team and stakeholders in achieving their goals.
  • Commitment and Predictability: Ensure delivery according to PI Planning Event commitments with Iteration and PI Predictability meeting or exceeding KPI targets.
  • Facilitate Agile Rituals: Oversee and facilitate all Agile team rituals including daily stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives and reviews.
  • Backlog Management: Drive the Backlog Management Tool Data quality to achieve a green dashboard from a team perspective ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team velocity for Iteration and PI planning track quality metrics conduct team self-assessments and ensure high predictability and effective issue resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement enabling the team to become high-performing and adaptable.
  • Collaboration with Product Owner: Maintain deep collaboration with the Product Owner to align priorities manage expectations and ensure successful delivery of team objectives.

Youre the right fit if:

Essential Requirements

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Mechatronics Electrical/Electronic Engineering Physics Systems Engineering or a related discipline. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role within R&D in the medical device industry.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management leading cross-functional teams and driving initiatives to successful completion.

Preferred Advantages

  • Quality Management: Understanding of quality management principles methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Medical Imaging Knowledge: Experience in medical imaging or a strong understanding of X-ray physics and operational principles.
  • Certifications: Certification in quality management (e.g. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt) is a plus
