JOB SUMMARY

Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in the field of measurement and regulation Then join us as a Measurement Technician Intern at ONEOK Inc. this summer with our Natural Gas Gathering and Processing segment in Silver Creek TX! This entry-level position is designed to provide you with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to support our measurement functions while upholding ONEOKs core values of safety integrity and innovation.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in the installation testing calibration repair and maintenance of various types of flow meters regulator settings telemetering systems electronic flow computers odorant systems and relief valves.
  • Support measurement sampling and regulation operations and maintenance at our facilities.
  • Help calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and auxiliary equipment.
  • Interact effectively with measurement personnel and adhere to corporate measurement procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports including job orders completion reports meter and regulator installation/removal equipment and operational tests repairs maintenance DOT compliance reports sample reports and batch tickets.
  • Witness meter calibrations as per contractual obligations.
  • Respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions to prevent injury to self and others.

What You Need:

  • Currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program in a related field.
  • Training and/or experience in meter testing and installation regulating flow and pressure and servicing/repairing measuring station equipment is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of measurement and regulation equipment.
  • Ability to use maintain and repair tools and equipment used to regulate the flow of gas.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic: addition subtraction multiplication and division.
  • Effective communication skills for exchanging written and verbal information and instructions.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and operate on elevated work surfaces.
  • Capability to work in confined areas and react immediately to emergency situations.
  • Willingness to travel over uneven terrain including mud gravel sand rocks ice and/or snow.
