Job Summary
Description of Work
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.
Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Key Responsibilities: Configure test and maintain Epic Beaker modules (Clinical Pathology); Support laboratory middleware systems and interfaces (e.g. instrument connectivity Mirth/Bridges); Resolve application incidents requests and escalations through ServiceNow; Collaborate with lab directors managers and staff to design efficient and accurate workflows; Ensure compliance with CLIA CAP HIPAA and other applicable regulatory requirements; Maintain technical documentation and participate in change management processes; Provide on-call support on a rotating basis for lab application issues.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $90.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 1915 Health Services Way Raleigh NC 27607.Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and compliance requirements; Epic Beaker configuration and troubleshooting expertise.
Knowledge of HL7 middleware and lab device connectivity.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions; Effective communication skills with technical and clinical stakeholders.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in medical laboratory science Information Systems or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Epic Beaker certification required (Clinical Pathology). Experience supporting laboratory systems and middleware preferred.
