Job Summary

Responsible for senior level professional financial accounting. May serve as subject matter expert in a specialized area. Solves complex problems.

Job Duties:

  • Perform monthly quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of accounts receivable and recording revenue journal entries

  • Responsible for managing one or more fiscal and accounting functions and for formulating and recommending policies and procedures to effectively administer such programs.

  • Formulates and recommends policies procedures and control systems.

  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations policies and procedures.

  • Prepares reviews and analyzes a variety of reports accounts reconciliations statements to and from internal departments financial institutions and external agencies.

  • Improve systems and processes and initiate corrective action

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting

  • 3 - 5 years accounting experience

  • Knowledge of US GAAP

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Excel accounting software and databases

  • Excellent organizational problem solving project management and communication skills

  • CPA certification preferred

  • Leadership Capability: Ability to build and motivate a team to improve the teams performance and contributions to the organization.

  • Communication Skills: Skill in building consensus for new ideas and initiatives and in communicating effectively with personnel and groups at all organization levels. Genuineness is required to build that consensus.

  • Hands-On: Must be willing and have the ability to participate in an early stage growth environment where it is required to roll sleeves up to tackle certain issues where bandwidth and/or skills of the team needs hands-on support of leaders.

  • Emotional Strength: Must have the ability to hear and support other leaders ideas and initiatives regardless of involvement without feeling others ideas arent valid or feeling left out.
