Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a growing mining and heavy civil construction company in Columbia SC.
Salary: $100-125k (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Duties for Safety Manager:

The Safety Manager reviews evaluates and analyzes work environments and
designs programs and procedures to control eliminate and prevent injury or
disease in the workplace.
Maintains and updates the Company safety manual and policies.
Guides and directs all safety activities on several projects while adhering to all company policies OSHA and MSHA regulations.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Safety Manager:

5 plus years of site safety experience as a Safety Manager in the mining or heavy civil construction industry
Expert in all OSHA and MSHA regulations
Must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
Knowledgeable or willing to learn general site preparation techniques and procedures site preparation surveying and layout.
Knowledgeable or willing to learn of front-end loaders excavators dozers graders compactors and other pieces of heavy equipment operation
Clean MVR for last 3 years
