Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a growing mining and heavy civil construction company in Columbia SC.
Salary: $100-125k (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-time Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

- The Safety Manager reviews evaluates and analyzes work environments and
- designs programs and procedures to control eliminate and prevent injury or
- disease in the workplace.
- Maintains and updates the Company safety manual and policies.
- Guides and directs all safety activities on several projects while adhering to all company policies OSHA and MSHA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 plus years of site safety experience as a Safety Manager in the mining or heavy civil construction industry
- Expert in all OSHA and MSHA regulations
- Must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
- Knowledgeable or willing to learn general site preparation techniques and procedures site preparation surveying and layout.
- Knowledgeable or willing to learn of front-end loaders excavators dozers graders compactors and other pieces of heavy equipment operation
- Clean MVR for last 3 years
