Job Summary

The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for an anticipated Long Term Substitute Position to teach classes in Architecture Design and Drafting (Arch DD) to start on or about November 10 2025 and last about 8 to 12 weeks. Responsibilities include teaching Arch DD 1 Arch DD 2 Arch DD 3 and Arch DD 4 as aligned with PDE CIP 15.1303 - Drafting and Design Technology.

The District seeks dynamic energetic educators who are student-focused and are qualified to lead educational activities related to Architecture Landscape Architecture Engineering Architectural Engineering and Interior Design. Activities include drawings and electronic simulations for architectural and related construction projects. Includes instruction in basic construction and structural design architectural rendering architectural-aided drafting (CAD) layout and designs architectural blueprint interpretation building materials and basic structural diagrams.

The successful candidate must either possess or have the ability to obtain a valid or emergency PA certification for Career and Technical/ Instructional 2600 in the Occupational Competency Area of Architectural-Design Technology 2105.
