Job Description
The Senior Forecast Analyst is a subject matter expert responsible for developing and leading accurate demand forecasts across multiple customers categories and channels. This role blends advanced analytics with strategic business insight to influence decision-making and strengthen the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. As a senior contributor this position drives forecast alignment scenario planning and continuous improvement across Sales Marketing Finance and Supply Chain.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize statistical forecasting across SKU product family and regional hierarchies ensuring alignment with commercial and financial strategies.
- Own and maintain item-level forecasts by major customer and distribution channel.
- Partner with Sales Marketing Finance and Supply Chain to align assumptions with commercial strategies promotions and product launches.
- Lead the demand portion of the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process facilitating cross-functional consensus and accountability.
- Manage product lifecycles by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop inventory strategies for existing new and transitioning products.
- Use and maintain Demand Works (NetStock) as the primary forecasting tool while continuously improving processes and data accuracy.
- Deliver standard reports variance analyses and ad-hoc insights for leadership decision-making.
- Be accountable to key forecasting KPIs (e.g. 3-month frozen forecast accuracy bias WAPE).
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance forecast accuracy efficiency and business results.
- Serve as a role model of Schumachers purpose core values and strategic anchors.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies (time-series regression machine learning models).
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity in a fast-paced global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.
- Ability to integrate statistical models with market intelligence to produce actionable insights.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency with forecasting/planning tools (e.g. SAP IBP Oracle Netstock Anaplan) and advanced Excel/BI tools (Tableau Power BI).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Statistics or related field (Masters preferred).
- 5 years of experience in demand forecasting supply chain planning or business analytics in consumer-packaged goods (experience in multinational or ecommerce environment is a plus).
- IBF or APICS Certification a plus.
- Internal applicants: 6 months successful demonstration of current position responsibilities approval from current manager and a relevant combination of education continuing education and experience.
