Director of Finance
Are you a dynamic finance leader looking for a rare opportunity to build and shape a department from the ground up This full-time Director of Finance role paying $100000$225000 base plus bonus and depending on experience offers the chance to step into a high-growth entrepreneurial organization operating on a truly global stage. This is a hybrid position in the Buffalo area with excellent exposure to senior leadership international markets and cutting-edge projects.
In this role the Director of Finance will not only be creating and implementing financial strategies that directly influence the success of the business but youll also have the opportunity to represent the company both nationally and internationally. With operations spanning multiple geographies and products this position will allow you to partner closely with global stakeholders build international relationships with banks and trade partners and gain unparalleled exposure to fast-moving markets across the world.
This is not a traditional finance role its an opportunity to create new processes design forecasting and working capital strategies optimize banking and trade flows and directly influence business decisions at all levels. The Director of Finance will work closely with the CFO IT and commercial leaders to build out a forward-looking finance function that supports rapid growth and evolving complexity across products and geographies.
This position is in-person on-site in the Getzville NY area.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial models for forecasting working capital and profitability.
- Partner with the CFO to evaluate financing structures optimize borrowing and manage banking relationships.
- Oversee cash flow liquidity planning and capital allocation strategies.
- Design and refine risk and treasury frameworks to support international operations.
- Provide insightful reporting dashboards and analysis to leadership and the Board.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to streamline processes and modernize infrastructure.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership contributing to strategy across finance operations and commercial areas.
- Represent the organization internationally with banks trade partners and other external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of progressive experience in finance treasury or related fields.
- Broad financial skill set capital planning liquidity forecasting and banking.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive ownership-driven mindset.
- International finance or commodities trading experience preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial and global environment.
- MBA CPA CFA or other advanced finance qualifications a plus.
