LOCATION: Jersey City NJ (hybrid 3-days in office a week)
SCHEDULE: M-F / 7:30am-4pm (shift is flexible)
PAY RANGE: $42.55/HR paid weekly

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Risk Lead to join our Global Markets Operations (GMO) Risk Team. This role is designed for an individual contributor with deep knowledge of Global Markets Operations Risk and Controls who can partner with senior leaders to proactively identify validate and mitigate risks while strengthening the control environment.

As a first line of defense team member you will leverage the banks risk framework to ensure operational excellence drive sustainable solutions and foster a strong risk culture across GMO. You will play a key role in enhancing transparency ensuring compliance and supporting responsible growth across multiple lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with GMO line of business (LOB) teams to identify escalate and remediate operational risks.
• Monitor and manage the lifecycle of operational issues and events ensuring sustainable closure.
• Provide independent oversight of GMOs risk environment challenging the status quo where necessary.
• Support and guide GMO stakeholders on potential risk and control issues through detailed analysis.
• Manage internal reviews and audits in coordination with Internal Audit and Global Compliance teams.
• Contribute to risk culture initiatives embedding the Global Operations Risk Principles throughout GMO.
• Prepare executive-level reporting dashboards and presentations (PowerPoint Excel).
• Support ad hoc OR&C (Operational Risk & Control) initiatives globally as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of Global Markets Operations experience (preferably combined with Risk & Control Compliance or Audit).
• Proven experience managing risk items within a line of business.
• Strong control mindset with ability to independently influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Advanced problem-solving critical thinking and creativity to address complex risk issues.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task prioritize and pivot as needed.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage across all levels of management.
• Solid understanding of the banks risk framework and ability to apply it to operational processes.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering across global teams.
• Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel for executive-level reporting.

Education

• Bachelors degree (minimum requirement).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
