About this role: The Financial Assistance Coordinator is responsible for evaluating referrals for survivors of domestic violence to determine eligibility for financial assistance helping eligible participants complete their applications and to help establish payment plans with management companies and landlords and direct participants toward resources to assist with diversion funds. The coordinator will provide financial literacy/budget counseling and case management referrals for supportive services to help participants develop ongoing stability plans.
Schedule: Business Work Week - weekends and evenings as needed

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Assistance Services:
- Conduct client intakes for survivors of domestic violence sexual assault stalking and dating violence through hotline calls referrals or walk-ins.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of rules and guidelines for providing financial assistance.
- Review eligibility requirements and document survivor self-identified needs in EmpowerDB.
- Ensure all required documentation (budgets quotes invoices W-9s leases etc.) is obtained for financial assistance requests.
- Assist survivors with applications for financial relief and help identify vendors/providers for payments.
- Support clients in gathering necessary documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
- Coordinate interpretation translation and alternative communication methods when needed.
- Attend community events and activities to outreach to target populations.
- Communicate with landlord if appropriate on status of participants application.
- Follow up within 48 hours during the business week with all referrals made through the Call Center and after-hours answering service.
Program Specific Duties:
- Attend all mandatory training as required by applicable grants.
- Know and follow any and all grant requirements for the program including reporting program goals timelines working with MOU partners.
- Participate in client staffing Housing and Financial Services department meetings supervision with the Director of Housing and Financial Services and other meetings and trainings as requested.
- Successfully complete 40 hours of ILCADV domestic violence training; remain current in the field of domestic violence by attending in-services workshops etc. relevant to the field.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing and Financial Services.

Compensation: $48500.00 - $51500.00 per year
