The Opportunity:
The Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC) based in Brisbane plays a vital role in Australias rapid and coordinated humanitarian response across the Indo-Pacific. As Response Coordinator you will contribute to HLCs humanitarian response and service order management activities by providing essential operational and administrative support.
Reporting to the Humanitarian Response Lead you will work closely with and support the Response Operations Managers in the delivery of HLC activities and activations. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to assist with logistics planning coordination deployment and operational readiness across the program. You will also engage with key partners including DFAT ADF and humanitarian organisations helping to ensure the timely and flexible delivery of emergency relief.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in humanitarian logistics working as part of a high-performing team and contributing to the effective delivery of emergency supplies to communities in need.
The Program: Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC)
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC) facilitates the timely effective and flexible delivery of the Australian Governments humanitarian assistance and emergency relief program around the world providing high quality multifaceted flexible and responsive project management and humanitarian supply chain solutions in support of Australias Humanitarian Emergency Relief activities.
The goal of HLC is to facilitate humanitarian action that saves lives alleviates suffering and enhances human dignity during and in the aftermath of conflict disasters and other humanitarian crises. The HLC warehouse in Brisbane maintains the largest stockpile of prepositioned humanitarian emergency relief supplies within the Southern Hemisphere with the capacity to respond to three simultaneous crises and can support at least 11000 families or 50000 people.
Tetra Tech International Development as the Implementing Contractor for the HLC will work closely with DFAT other Commonwealth response capabilities international organisations and humanitarian partners to implement HLC operations and activities across all aspects of program management and delivery.

You bring experience in logistics operations ideally within the Pacific and thrive in complex and challenging environments. You are collaborative culturally responsive and committed to inclusive practice able to build trust with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex ideas with clarity.
