Position: Electrical Estimator
Working Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM AEST (Australian)
Salary Range: USD 1500 to 2000 per month depending on experience
Location: Remote (preferred: Philippines)
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. You ll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a range of residential and commercial electrical projects. This is a critical role that involves close collaboration with project managers suppliers and subcontractors to deliver competitive tenders and maintain cost efficiency across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical estimating (residential and commercial).
- Strong knowledge of take-offs Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) from drawings and plans.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as SimPRO Groundplan and AutoCAD (AroFlo experience is a plus).
- Solid experience using Microsoft Office particularly Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Good understanding of Australian Standards and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed cost estimates budgets and tender submissions.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and specifications.
- Experience liaising with builders suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
Desirable / Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Industrial Technology or a related field.
- Registered Electrical Engineer or working towards registration.
- Experience with circuit design and power system analysis.
- Exposure to a variety of project types and scales (residential commercial mixed-use).
- Familiarity with pricing revisions database management and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects.
- Perform detailed take-offs and compile BOQs and BOMs.
- Manage pricing and quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Submit timely tenders cost proposals and budget reports.
- Work with internal teams to manage variations revisions and project finalisation.
- Provide highlighted plans cost breakdowns and stage-based estimates for stakeholders.
