Job Description

Position Description:

The Back Office Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the financial back-office team ensuring accurate timely and compliant processing of transactions. This role combines team leadership process management and compliance oversight ensuring that operational goals are met while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. The Team Leader plays a key role in driving efficiency mentoring staff and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Lead coach and supervise the back-office team to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
Monitor daily workflows ensuring all transactions comply with internal policies industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Review and validate complex or high-value transactions resolving discrepancies promptly.
Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with other departments to address escalations and ensure smooth operational flow.
Develop team members skills through training feedback and performance management.
Provide regular reports to management on team performance metrics and operational issues.
Foster a culture of accountability service excellence and continuous learning.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Education & Certifications:
Bachelors degree in business finance accounting or a related field (required).
Professional certifications (e.g. IFIC Canadian Securities Course CPA) are an asset

Experience:
Minimum of 46 years of experience in financial services wealth management or back-office operations.
Prior experience in a supervisory or team leader role preferred.
Strong knowledge of financial products mutual fund operations and regulatory compliance.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
High degree of accuracy attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills capable of collaborating across teams.
Ability to analyze workflows and implement process improvements.
Adaptable and proactive in managing team workload and operational challenges.

General Qualifications:
Good communication skills.
Willingness to work on a night-shift schedule.
Full commitment to 100% onsite work.
Flexibility to be assigned in McKinley Taguig.
