What were looking for:

• 45 years of professional experience in embedded systems development.

• Strong proficiency in C and C programming for embedded environments.

• Solid knowledge of microcontrollers microprocessors and real-time operating systems (RTOS).

• Experience with embedded Linux (kernel drivers and user-space programming).

• Hands-on experience with communication protocols (UART SPI I2C CAN Ethernet etc.).

• Familiarity with hardware/software integration debugging and testing of embedded systems.

• Proficiency in using debugging tools (JTAG oscilloscopes logic analyzers etc.).

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and build systems (CMake Make).

• Experience with software optimization memory management and performance tuning in resource-constrained environments.

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Availability for a hybrid regimen in Porto or Lisbon

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python or Bash scripting for automation and testing.

• Knowledge of safety-critical systems (ISO 26262 DO-178C or similar).

• Experience with Docker CI/CD pipelines for embedded development.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity for embedded systems.
