The client we are currently supporting is a market leader in the development operation and asset management of grid connected / utility scale renewable energy projects particularly focused within the battery energy storage (BESS) sector.

Due to growth within their project management/engineering team they are now looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager to join the organisation here in Australia.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager within this organisation you will be responsible for leading the engineering/technical aspects of renewable energy (BESS) projects across Australia. This position would ideally suit an experienced and self-driven individual with strong stakeholder engagement/management skills & a proven background in renewable energy project engineering and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop project plans timelines and budgets for renewable energy projects
Develop concept designs SLDs cable schedules and early stage project engineering requirements
Prepare and review technical specifications scopes of work and design packages
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Communicate with clients contractors and other stakeholders
Provide technical expertise in electrical engineering and renewable energy systems
Ensure compliance with Australian regulatory and safety requirements
Oversee site studies early works and feasibility assessments
Liaise with clients contractors and other stakeholders across projects

Key Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering Renewable Energy or Power Systems Engineering
3-5 years experience in project engineering/project management of HV/Renewable Energy projects in Australia
Experience in both development and delivery phases of energy projects in Australia
Great written and verbal communication strong problem-solving skills
