Job Title: Java Architect
Location: Wilmington Delaware 5 Days Onsite
Experience Level: Intermediate (7 years)
Domain Requirement: Banking domain experience is required

Role Overview

We are seeking a Java Architect with strong expertise in application and enterprise-level architecture particularly within the banking/credit card domain. The ideal candidate will have experience with architectural governance security best practices and guiding technical teams to deliver high-quality scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Represent product families in technical governance bodies; provide feedback and propose improvements to governance practices.
Create architectural documentation for both application-specific and multi-application/product space designs based on business technology inputs firm standards and risk management needs.
Evaluate current technologies and lead assessments of new technologies using established standards and frameworks.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business technical teams contractors and vendors.
Develop secure high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
Drive decisions influencing product design application functionality and technical operations.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more technology or architecture focus areas.
Advocate for firmwide frameworks tools and SDLC best practices across the engineering community.
Influence peers and project leaders to adopt and apply leading-edge technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

Banking domain experience (Credit Card industry experience highly desirable).
Strong knowledge of architecture governance practices.
Hands-on experience with security standards and patterns (PCI Tokenization Encryption).
Ability to manage design considerations and priorities across multiple stakeholders.
Expertise in Domain Driven Design (DDD) concepts.
Familiarity with C4 diagram constructs and architectural modeling.
Strong coding background with ability to deliver and review secure production-quality Java code.
