Location: Bradenton FL 34201
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) team in Bradenton FL. As an RN in the Med Surg unit you will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Administer medications monitor vital signs and manage IV lines.
- Coordinate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans.
- Monitor record and report symptoms and changes in patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions medications and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patients medical record.
- Uphold infection control and safety standards.
- Participate in patient rounds shift reports and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in the state of Florida required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting required
- Preferred: Recent hospital Med Surg experience
- Open to candidates from LTACH Rehab or Home Health if skills align
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
