Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced High Acuity ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team in Chicago IL. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in managing complex critically ill patients including open heart neuro and renal replacement therapies and will be comfortable floating as needed based on census.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-level nursing care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
Manage patients requiring open heart care (CABG) neuro critical care and CRRT
Care for patients with acute stroke including TNK administration
Perform continuous patient assessments monitoring and interventions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
Float to other ICU units as required based on staffing and census needs

Required Experience & Skills:

Recent High Acuity ICU experience required
Hands-on experience with:
- Open Heart / CABG patients
- Neuro ICU patients
- CRRT
- Stroke care and TNK administration
Strong critical thinking assessment and time-management skills
Ability to adapt to floating assignments

Certifications (Required):

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Scheduling Requirements:

Schedule includes every other weekend
Every other holiday required
No RTO for holidays
If calling in sick on a weekend shift (Friday 7:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM) the missed shift must be made up the following weekend

Additional Requirements:

Floating is an expectation of this contract if ICU experiences low census
Must be flexible with unit assignments and scheduling needs
