In this role you will lead the Notebook Dataplane team which is responsible for running user code in the Notebook. We are undergoing an exciting architecture transformation to run stateful user code as a service for the product teams providing a reliable and low-latency service for the Serverless products. A strategic investment area for the company. As the Engineering Manager you will play a critical role in driving the technical vision architecture and execution for the service. You will lead a team of software engineers and recruit new team members to realize the vision.

The impact you will have:

Define and drive the stateful user code execution service vision.
Partner with serverless platform teams to build the service.
Own the roadmap and execution ensuring all team deliverables are met with high quality and on schedule.
Define team best practices for engineering excellence including design reviews code quality testing strategies and performance optimizations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the stack.

What we look for:

10 years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of technical leadership and impact.
3 years of engineering management experience.
Experience designing building and operating scalable SaaS platforms.
Expertise in distributed systems cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and modern web application architectures.
Strong system-level skills. Experience with containers and K8S is highly desirable.
Strong ability to collaborate across product engineering and business teams to align technical strategy with company growth objectives.
Passion for the data intelligence space.
